Stadt des Kindes

The competition demanded a concept for several grounds around the building “Stadt des Kindes” realised by Anton Schwaighofer in the 70ties. The building was a very experimental project and therefore also a big challenge although it was not active part of the competition. One geometric body offers in three positions three types of houses. We chose this solution as normal houses and terraces houses were to blocking for the area.

Haus Felsenau

Der geregelte Tagesablauf für Haftentlassene möglichst nahe an der gesellschaftlichen Normalität fordert eine dementsprechende räumliche Organisation. Die Unterbringung der Arbeitsbereiche in separaten Häusern bietet Anhaltspunkte zur Identifikation mit der Tätigkeit und der Kleingruppe und fordert die Verantwortung der Bewohner*innen. Das grosse einzelne Haus, die Anstalt, wird vermieden.

Italian Lounge Bar

Ephemere, auf Platzniveau offen durchquerbare Gastrostruktur an der 2er-Linie, laut Aussage der Jury wie Hollein aus den 80-ern??
