Minister of Economic Affairs Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer presented us the Austrian Green Planet Building® Award in Berlin for the ‘Allee der Kosmonauten’ school campus.

Spacious green areas alongside numerous opportunities for sport and exercise: the largest new building to date in Berlin’s school construction initiative offers its pupils plenty of space and a high-quality learning environment, while also being extremely energy-efficient. This is sustainable construction ‘Made with Austrian know-how and design’. The school building was constructed by the municipal Berlin housing association HOWOGE as part of Berlin’s school construction initiative.

A restaurant on hallowed ground, on Vienna’s Karlsplatz, a stone’s throw from St. Charles’s Church.

Have you seen it yet? The new café restaurant in Resselpark invites you to linger; regulars, students from the nearby TU, tourists, everyone is welcome.
From the outside, the building looks like a collection of many small houses facing the public. This immediately creates a welcoming, human scale. Everyone has their own house to eat in.
The comprehensive spatial reorganization within the oval bordered by a hedge, characteristic of Karlsplatz, opened up opportunities for improvement: the multiple passageways were reactivated, the listed Tilgner fountain was integrated, and the ground was unsealed and unified. The sidewalk café now blends seamlessly into the general area.

The time has come for the “Zukunft Münster 2050” project in Stuttgart to enter the next phase: the ground-breaking ceremony for the first construction phase, the intergenerational “Haus am Park”, has taken place!

Along Moselstrasse, we are developing a socially and ecologically sustainable quarter for the Münster am Neckar building cooperative as part of IBA’27. The existing terraced houses that cannot be maintained are being replaced by new residential buildings in a dense and modular hybrid timber construction, with different forms of housing, communal spaces and commercial and social uses. The dense construction creates new open green spaces for everyone. Moselstrasse, which runs right through the quarter, will be transformed from a traffic route into a multi-use public space with existing old trees. The new quarter will also be partly self-sufficient thanks to an air heat pump recooler and photovoltaic system.

Completion of the “Haus am Park” is planned for 2027, the year of the IBA.
